3 – 6 Months Developmental Stage
Between 3 and 6 months, babies begin to explore their own bodies and the world around them with increasing curiosity. This stage focuses on strengthening emotional bonds, encouraging sensory experiences, and supporting the first signs of physical control such as head stability, reaching, and rolling.

Language Development
- Responding to voices with cooing and gurgling sounds
- Turning toward familiar sounds and voices
- Enjoying gentle songs, lullabies, and “talking” back-and-forth with caregivers
Physical Development
- Gross Motor: Holding head steady, beginning to roll, pushing up on arms during tummy time
- Fine Motor: Opening hands more often, beginning to reach and bat at objects, bringing hands to mouth
Social Development
- Smiling socially and engaging in eye contact
- Enjoying playful interactions like gentle tickling and facial expressions
- Recognizing familiar caregivers and beginning to show preference
Emotional Development
- Seeking comfort through cuddles and soothing voices
- Expressing happiness, discomfort, or distress more clearly
- Beginning to show anticipation during daily routines (feeding, playtime)
Creative Expression
- Exploring with mouth and hands (early sensory learning)
- Responding to contrasting colors, simple toys, and textures
- Reacting with excitement to music, clapping, and gentle movement

- Arrival & Bonding: 5–10 min cuddle and greeting
- Tummy Time / Movement: 10 min, multiple sessions
- Sensory Play / Exploration: 10–15 min
- Language & Music: 5–10 min singing, cooing, simple sounds
- Nap / Rest: 30–60 min, flexible
- Snack / Feeding: 5–10 min, as per feeding schedule
